OTTAWA–The annual ceremony to honor Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) took place at the Municipal Courtroom in Ottawa. Eleven people received certificates, and afterwards enjoyed some cake and iced tea. Ottawa Police Chief Dennis Butler says the volunteer service saves at least $38,000 each year.
