OTTAWA — The Franklin County Conservation District will help pay the tuition for the four-day Kansas Range Youth Camp in June. The camp is great for high schools students with an interest in plants, livestock and wildlife, the conservation district’s Keri Harris said. The tuition includes lodging in air-conditioned cabins, snacks and meals including a steak dinner. Other activities include swimming, canoeing, fishing and hiking. Students interested in applying for a tuition assistance scholarship should write a one-page paper explaining why they want to attend the camp and submit it to the Franklin County Cconservation District by April 25. Hand deliver the paper or e-mail it to [email protected]. The tuition assistance scholarships will be provided as a reimbursement after the camp.
