KANSAS — The Baker Orange Newspaper and its accompanying website the Baker-Orange-Dot-Com , recently earned several national and state honors.
The Print Orange received a 2014 Apple Award from the college media association as the best newspaper among small four-year school.
The orange web site the all-kansas award from Kansas Collegiate Media as the top collegiate news website among all colleges in the state.
The Print Orange won the Kansas Collegiate Media’s all-kansas award as the top private-college newspaper in the state.
Among those students winning individual awards, Callie Paquette, of Ottawa, and Sophomore Jordan Ratterman, of Overland Park, second in photo essay; and Lauren Bechard, of Gardner, who received second in sports feature writing; second in column writing; and third in feature writing. 5:19pm, Thursday May 8
