LAWRENCE — The Climate and Energy Project will host an exclusive screening of the Showtime documentary series about climate change called “Years of Living Dangerously” Monday night, May 19, at Liberty Hall Theater in Lawrence, The first episode of the nine-part series premiered on April 13. Liberty Hall will screeen the sixth episode, focusing on renewable energy in Kansas, entitled “Against the Wind,” during its Showtime debut. This segment features Kansas rancher, Pete Ferrell. Ferrell’s ranch in south-central kansas, is home of the Elk River Wind Farm, of the state’s first wind farms. The screening is free. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion with Ferrell, KIimberly Gencur Svaty, of the Wind Coalition; and Kansas University professor Johannes Feddema, who helped write the most recent report by the International Panel on Climate Change.
