OTTAWA – The Franklin County Sheriff’s office received three reports of thefts Saturday and one Sunday. A 50-year-old Missouri woman reported the theft of a Craftsman lawn mower, a well pump, an extension ladder, and a generator from the 1100 block of Shawnee Road east of Appanoose. The loss was estimated at a little more than $2,400. A 34-year-old Pomona man reported someone got into his bed tool box of his truck parked in the 400 block of Tyler Street of Pomona and stole several power tools. The loss was estimated at nearly $1,200. A 71-year-old Ottawa man reported someone entered his garage in the 4500 block of Louisiana Road near Centropolis and stole two Stihl chainsaws. The loss was valued at $300. On Sunday, 45-year-old Pomona man reported some entered his residence in Pomona sometime last week and took several items. The loss was estimated at approximately $820.
