OTTAWA — K-68 was reopened at about 1 p.m. today. The highway was closed just east of Ottawa as a result of two traffic accidents in the construction zone in the 3100 block of K-68 this morning. At 8:43 a.m., a semi-truck loaded with asphalt millings rolled over and ended in a ditch, Sheriff Jeff Richards said. He said the driver wasn’t injured. However, he said a construction worker was hit by a west-bound pickup truck about 20 minutes later in the 3100 block of K-68. The worker, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was flown by Life Star helicopter to a Kansas City hospital.
