EMPORIA — The Ottawa High School boys’ golf team qualified for the state meet in a 4-A regional held Monday at the Emporia Municipal Golf Course. The Cyclones came in second behind Iola – the top two regional teams qualify for the state meet. Ottawa’s top golfer was Quentin Blaue, who was fourth. Parker Olmsted was sixth and Trey Rich tied for 10th. Anderson County’s Spencer Walter finished second, and Paola’s Laike Waters finished third and Tanner Thomas finished ninth. They qualified for the state meet individually. The state meet is next Tuesday is at the Prairie Band Pottawatomie Nation’s Firekeeper Golf Course near Mayetta.
