RICHMOND — Six people, including five children, were injured in a one-vehicle crash late Friday night just across the Anderson County line southwest of Richmond. Trista Brown, 30, Emporia; was driving an SUV south on Missouri Terrace about mile south of Richmond, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Brown failed to slow at the uncontrolled T-intersection at Allen Road and her SUV went through the intersection and struck a tree head-on, the highway patrol said. She wasn’t wearing a seat belt. She was taken to Anderson County Hospital in Garnett. Also taken to Anderson County Hospital were five children who were passengers in brown’s SUV: Isaac Brown, 12; Aliyah Brown, 4; Jordon Brown, 5; Ashton Brown, 8; and Jake Brown, 9, all of Leroy. They were all wearing safety restraints.
