DULUTH, Minn. — Sentencing has been postponed for a man who pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa and kidnapping his ex-wife three years ago. A federal judge in Duluth, Minn., has agreed to a request by Timothy Caskey for more time to allow his attorney to prepare pre-sentence motions. Caskey’s sentencing will be June 27. Caskey kidnapped his ex-wife in Minnesota and forced her to accompany him on a cross-country journey to Mexico. He robbed the Ottawa bank during the trip. She was rescued when he was captured by Mexican state police. Under a plea deal, the case involving the bank robbery in Ottawa was moved to federal court in Duluth, where the kidnapping case was being handled.
