HILLSDALE LAKE — A 57-year-old jet-skiier from Gardner was found dead Sunday afternoon at Hillsdale Lake. After a receiving a report of a missing man Sunday morning, first responders began searching the area around Wade Branch access area at 255th and Waverly roads and after about two hours, found the body of Timothy Jackson in approximately three feet of water, the Miami County Sheriff’s Department said. Jackson was taken to the shore, where he was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s office said. Jackson was wearing a lifejacket. His jet ski was was also recovered near the body. Jackson was last seen in the water by a friend at Jayhawker Marina Saturday evening. The friend told first responders that he and Jackson had been jet skiing together Saturday. The friend stated he decided to go home but Jackson wanted to stay on the lake longer. He didn’t arrive home. The sheriff’s office said the cause of death is still under investigation at this time.
