GARNETT — A Texas trucker was hospitalized Wednesday morning after he ran off U.S. 169 six miles south of Garnett. Peter Okonofua, 43, Ft. Worth, Texas, was driving a semi-truck north on U.S. 169 when his truck went off the edge of the roadway and rolled over, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. He was taken to Anderson County Hospital in garnett and later transferred to St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City. The highway patrol said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
