SPRING HILL — A resurfacing project on U.S. 169 near Spring Hill will begin Monday morning. The project will consist of placing an ultrathin asphalt layer on the highway, the Kansas Department of Transportation said. The work starts just south of the 223rd Street interchange and continues north for a little more than one mile to the Miami-Johnson county line. Traffic will encounter lane reductions and the speed limit will be reduced to 55 miles per hour. KDOT said that weather permitting, the project should be completed in one month.
