Ottawa, Kan. – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation continues its probe into an officer involved shooting last night just east of Orscheln’s Farm and Home. Authorities say 18 year old Joseph Jennings of Ottawa was shot during an encounter with officers, and he later died at Ransom Memorial hospital. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure. Local authorities will hold a news conference at the Orscheln Farm and Home parking lot today at 12:30 p.m. and KOFO News will be there. Princeton Road will be closed for most of the day while the investigation continues.
