OTTAWA — The Kansas Dept. of Transportation has awarded a contract worth more than $1.7 million to an Iowa company to replace the West Wilson Street on the west edge of Ottawa. United Contractors, of Johnston, Iowa; will replace the aging steel truss bridge over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe mainline tracks.
