DULUTH, Minn. – A federal judge in Minnesota has agreed to yet another extension in the case of a Minnesota man who has pleaded guilty to kidnapping his ex-wife and robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa three years ago. Timothy Caskey is facing a 30-year sentence for his cross-country journey from Minnesota to Mexico. Although U.S. Judge John Tunheim in Duluth, Minn., has denied several objections by Caskey’s attorneys, he has repeatedly agreed to delay the sentencing for more motions. At the request of both prosecutors and Caskey’s attorneys, the case has been extended to Nov. 28. The case involving the Ottawa bank robbery was transferred to U.S. District Court in Duluth.
