KANSAS CITY – A seven-foot-tall man who robbed the Goppert State Service Bank at Pomona on March 19 will go to federal prison. Caleb Jeffcoat, 26, Quenemo, was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison Monday, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. Earlier, Jeffcoat pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery. During the robbery, Jeffcoat wore a black ninja mask belonging to a co-defendant’s son and carried a BB gun modified to look like a real gun. Investigators used surveillance photos and other information to identify Jeffcoat, who was arrested two days after the robbery, Grissom said. Earlier, Robert Martin, Quenemo, was sentenced to 30 months for taking part in the bank robbery. A Quenemo woman, Christel Collins, awaits sentencing.
