SPRING HILL — The Miami County Sheriff’s office is investigating the shooting death of a 56-year-old Spring Hill man Saturday. His roommate is being held in connection with the shooting. Someone approached deputies in the sheriff’s department parking lot Saturday afternoon and told them his friend had shot someone, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies found the man, Mark Taylor, 52, in the man’s car with a hand gun. Deputies went to a home at 21914 W. 220th St. near Spring Hill, and found Larry Rangel, 56, dead from a gunshot wound. The cause of the shooting remains under investigation. The sheriff’s office said deputies have responded to the home in the past regarding a disturbance. The sheriff’s office said Taylor is wanted by Johnson County. for several warrants.
