OTTAWA — A 29-year-old Ottawa man reported recently to Ottawa police someone he knew pointed a laser light at him in the 2200 block of South Princeton. The laser was attached to a handgun, Capt. Adam Weingarner said. Brandon Smith, 21, Ottawa, was later booked into the Franklin County jail for assault, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
