OTTAWA — A 33-year-old Ottawa woman was injured Monday morning when her car was rear-ended by a semi-truck at the I-35/K-68 junction east of Ottawa. Betsy Mastel was stopped on the north-bound I-35 exit ramp waiting to turn east onto K-68 when a semi-truck driven by Enrique Garcia, 50, Amarillo, Texas; failed to yield and hit her car, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Mastel, was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released. Garcia wasn’t injured. He was wearing a seat belt.
