OTTAWA — An Ottawa woman was taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital Thursday eveing after her car collided with a pickup on U.S. 59 at the Princeton Quick Shop. Cord Hermreck, 16, Princeton, was in the turning lane waiting to make a left-hand turn into the Quick Shop parking lot, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. However, the highway patrol said he turned in front of a north-bound car driven by 50-year-old Karla Pitts, Ottawa. She hit his pickup in the side. Pitts, who was taken to RMH, was wearing a seat belt. Hermreck and a passenger in his truck were both wearing seat belts and weren’t injured.
