OTTAWA — The Ottawa Suzuki Strings is trying its new fundraiser – call it strings and steak. The Suzuki Strings students will perform 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sirloin Stockade. All ages of students will perform a variety of selections including bluegrass fiddle, classical and jazz, Suzuki Strings’ Alice Joy Lewis, said. Tickets are $11 for the meal and music, with part of the price going to Suzuki Strings. Tickets must be bought in advance from Suzuki Strings members, by calling 242-0242 or at the Web site ottawasuzukistrings.org. The fundraiser is a runup to Suzuki Srings annual music camps at Ottawa University later this summer.
