OTTAWA — The newest Ottawa police officer is out on the street for another three months’ of field training. Carson Simmons recently graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center at Hutchinson. Once his field training is completed, Simmons will be released to solo patrol this summer, Police Chief Dennis Butler said.
