SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Garnett native and fast-pitch softball star has been named to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Diane “Dink” Miller joins former St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa among this year’s nominations. As a catcher for Missouri Southern University, Miller set several records that still stand and was an All-American. She led Missouri Southern to the NCAA Division II national championship in 1992. After her college career, she coached major collegiate fast-pitch at Colorado State and now as an assistant at Nebraska.
