OTTAWA–Multiple cities across the U.S. have been in the news surrounding race and the problem of police treatment. Ottawa City Commissioner Shawn Dickinson attended a conference in Washington DC last week. He says what he heard makes him glad to live in Ottawa because there are no obvious race problems here. He says though it’s vital to have a conversation on race to head off any problems.
