OTTAWA — Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins’ annual 2nd District farm tour will include stops in Paola and Ottawa Thursday. Jenkins said she wants to hear directly about the issues impacting farmers’ work and what can be done in Washington to ensure they continue to thrive. Jenkins will visit the Carter’s Pecan Farm, 11469 W. 335th St., Paola; at 9:30 a.m. and the Ottawa Coop at 11 a.m. She’ll also make a couple of stops in Lawrence at the Ross-Nunemaker Sweet Corn and Cattle Co. and the Kansas State Nutrition and Horticulture Extension Program Thursday afternoon.
