GARNETT — The deadline to register for Wichita State’s Growing Rural Business” program is Friday afternoon. The Anderson County Economic Development is hosting the program, which includes 11 one-night sessions per week on Thursday evenings. That includes meals. Among the topics discussed, “Getting the Best From Others,” “Nuts and Bolts of Advertising,” “Keeping a Financial Focus,” “Building a Business Concept, Statement, Vision;” and “Developing an Effective Niche Strategy”. The program is open to all aspiring business owners, entrepreneurs and existing business owners and managers, including those outside of Anderson County. This program is being made possible at a very reduced cost to participants by grants from NetWork Kansas and the Anderson County E-Community. Cost to attend is $100.
