OTTAWA — An Ottawa woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 59 about two miles south of Lawrence Saturday afternoon. Richard Holtz, 44, Lawrence, was driving west on North 1100 Road and entered the intersection at U.S. 59, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Holtz failed to see a car driven by Wanda Richards, 59, Ottawa, who was driving south on U.S. 59, the highway patrol said. His truck T-boned her car. She was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A passenger in her car, Michaela Patterson, 18, Ottawa, wasn’t injured. Nor was Holtz injured. They were all wearing seat belts.
