OTTAWA — The city of Ottawa asks for the public’s help in watching out for vandalism and other suspicious behavior on city property. There have been some vandalism incidents on city property, including City Park, where vandals twice kicked out walls of the gazebo in City Park, public works director Michael Haeffele said. Most of the incidents have happened in the evening hours or late at night, Haeffele said. Vandalism takes city crews away from their normal duties and other projects and costs money to make repairs, he said. He asks that anyone witnessing vandalism or suspicious behavior to call 911 or the police department at 242-2561.
