PAOLA — The publisher that owns Miami County’s three newspapers has closed the Osawatomie Graphic and the Louisburg Herald and merged all operations into the Miami County Republic, Paola.  All three papers were owned by NPG Newspapers, St. Joseph, Mo. Osawatomie and Louisburg news will be incorporated into the Republic, the publisher said.  The company said subscribers of the two papers will receive subscriptions to the Republic or if they already subscribe, have their Republic subscriptions extended.  The Louisburg Herald began publishing in 1876.  The Osawatomie Graphic was founded 1888.
