OSAWATOMIE — Wednesday’s early morning house fire in Osawatomie may have been caused by an electrical problem. Investigators believe the cause of the fire in the 300 block of Brown Avenue to be an unknown electrical fault above the main electrical panel, Osawatomie Fire Chief Brian Love said The fire which originated in the attic floor, caused heavy damage to the attic and roof. Love said the house also sustained heavy smoke and water damage. The house was unoccupied when the fire occurred, he said. A passerby reported the fire. There were no injuries from the fire, he said.
