CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Central Heights eighth grade student Tyler Silvis has been designated a Kansas National Geographic state bee semifinalist by the National Geographic Society. He will compete in the state contest at the Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene on April 1. School geography bees were held for fourth- through eighth-grade students throughout the state to determine each school champion. School champions then took an on-line qualifying test. Each state champion will compete in the national geographic bee championship at the National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington.
