OTTAWA – Jurors received a heavy dose of forensic medical information – accompanied by gory photos – during the capital murder trial of Kyle Flack this morning.  Most of the forensic testimony came from Erik Mitchell, of Frontier Forsenics Service, the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsies of the murder victims, and Jeremiah Morris, a blood stain patterns expert with the Johnson County crime lab, who discussed the condition of Steven White’s body.  His was found hidden under a tarp in a shop behind the farmhouse where two other murder victims were found.  White was shot at least twice by a shotgun, Mitchell testified.  He found several shotgun pellets in his body.  The blood stain patterns in the shop would indicate that White’s body was dragged to where it was hidden.  Testimony was ended earlier than expected this afternoon because a key witness became ill.  Flack is charged with killing White, Kaylee Bailey, her 18-month-old daughter Lana Bailey, and Andrew Stout nearly three years ago near Richter.
