OTTAWA — The city will host a public meeting 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss master planning for the Rock Creek Business Development Park south of the city.  The meeting is at Neosho County Community College’s Ottawa campus.  A brief presentation will begin at 6 p.m.  “This is an extremely important first step,” said city manager Richard Nienstedt said.  “We want to be certain to understand any challenges that might exist and also set a clear vision for all future development anticipated to happen in and around the new development park.”  The visioning process includes the public and neighbors in predicting how the region around the proposed industrial park might develop and how that development might affect the future of Ottawa and southern Franklin County, he said.  There will be another public meeting in May.
