GARNETT — The body of a 74-year-old Garnett woman was recovered from the water near the dam at the Cedar Valley Reservoir southwest of Garnett Sunday evening. Sharon Miller was reported missing by her husband Sunday morning, Garnett Police Chief Kevin PeKarek said. During a search, her vehicle was found at the reservoir, he said. Area water search and rescue teams were summoned to help with the search at the lake. Her body was found shortly after 6 p.m., he said. At the time, it’s not known how she ended up in the lake, he said. An autopsy has been scheduled.
