POMONA LAKE — The flood gates have opened as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers begins to lower Pomona Lake’s level. Because of last week’s heavy rains, the lake has been 11 feet above normal. The corps said the lake discharge was increased to 2,000 cubic feet per second Sunday afternoon. The normal discharge is 15 cubic feet per second.
