OTTAWA — Ottawa will conduct its annual city-wide cleanup weekend in June.  The cleanup weekend, set for Friday, June 3, and Saturday, June 4, will allow Ottawans to dispose of like old tires, brush and tree limbs, public works director Michael Haeffele said.  Used tires hold water and become a breeding ground for mosquitos, which makes them not only a nuisance but also a health hazard, he said.   Trash receptacles will be at several locations including at Roadside Park at 17th Street and Pprinceton, the Ottawa Antique Mall parking lot in the 300 block of Walnut Street and the city’s salt storage shed in the 1300 block of North Cherry Street.  However, he said no batteries, paint or liquids should be put in the trash receptacles.  Batteries and liquids can be dropped off at the Franklin County Recycling Center, on South Elm Street.
