GARNETT — An 80-year-old Kincaid man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. 59 in front of the Garnett Elementary School. Richard Crabtree was driving south on U.S. 59 when his pickup went off the road and dropped into the west ditch, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The pickup hit a road approach and came to rest on its passenger side. Crabtree wasn’t wearing a seat belt, the highway patrol said. An autopsy is planned.
