POMONA LAKE — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is opening up the gates at Pomona Lake.  The lake’s discharge was increased to 1000 cubic feet per second Tuesday, the Corps’ Scott Rice said.  The normal discharge rate is 15.  Rice said the Corps will discharge at 1,000 CFS for four to five days before shutting back down to the normal discharge.  The lake level was nearly three feet above normal Tuesday.
