OTTAWA — The shooting of a 41-year-old Baldwin City man early Thursday morning in Ottawa remains a mystery. Ottawa police learned of the shooting when the man was dropped off at Ransom Memorial Hospital. The man received gunshot wounds in his arm and leg, Lt. Doug Waterman said. The wounds were considered non-life-threatening. However, the case is at a standstill because the man refuses to talk to police and there’s little other information that would help the investigation, Waterman said. He asks that anyone with information about the shooting to call the Ottawa Police Department or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-311-TIPS.
