OTTAWA — In a Facebook post, the Keim family said they plan to reopen the Keim Bakery and Grill, 304 S. Main, but it could be a while. Investigators continue to try to pinpoint the cause of the fire that closed the bakery although they say there is no evidence that the fire was of suspicious origins. The fire caused extensive smoke damage to the bakery and neighboring buildings. The family said there was so much smoke damage that everything inside the building has to be replaced. However, they say they are still dealing with insurance companies and until they receive the OK from insurers, they can’t begin cleanup and repair. It could be up to a year before the bakery reopens, they said.
