OTTAWA — The Register of Deed’s Office will be closed this afternoon beginning at noon while county maintenance staff clean that office for mold. The closing is part of a series of closings while crews clean up an outbreak of mold at the Franklin County Courthouse. Other closings scheduled include the treasurer’s office Tuesday afternoon and the motor vehicle office the afternoon of Dec. 6. The county will consider hiring a specialist company to finish the mold cleanup.
