OTTAWA — The 1900 to 2100 block of Sand Creek road will remain closed for repairs following a fatal crash involving a large truck this morning that severely damaged the road. The Franklin County Public Works Department said the road will be closed through Friday and perhaps into next week. Traffic will be detoured onto Kentucky Road, Sand Creek Terrace, Iowa Terrace, Reno Road and Indiana Road. The wreck was investigated by the Kansas Highway Patrol. Information on the wreck wasn’t immediately available.
