OTTAWA — With five months yet, more than 500 vehicles have been pre-registered for the Ol’ Marais River Run car show in Ottawa. That’s 100 more than the normal pace of registrations for this time of year, said Don Stottlemire, a member of the Over the Road Gang, which hosts the annual vintage vehicle extravaganza. Since a popular cable TV automotive show highlighted last year’s River Run, the club has gotten calls from across the country, he said. The club has been scrambling to find more space to deal with the expected record number of vehicles, he said. Stottlemire gave an update to county commissioners Monday morning and asked them to donate to hiring a trolley shuttle between Forest Park and downtown during the three-day car show.
