PAOLA — Paola City Council members have put their guarantee in writing. The council recently approved a resolution that guarantees that all grant funds and private donations raised by the Paola Pathways Task Force will be used for the Paola Pathways Trails System. The system of hiking and biking trails will link key locations throughout the city, especially schools, parks, and recreational facilities. Phase one of the system was completed in Wallace Park in June 2014. The second phase at Lake Miola is near completion. Other work will be done as money is raised.
