OTTAWA — Franklin County is seeking bids from lenders to finance $2.2 million to replace the county’s emergency radio system. At least two local lending institutions are working on proposals, county administrator Derek Brown said. The county will update the radio system and replace every mobile and portable radio used by 15 law enforcement and public agencies. The new system will also be incorporated with the state’s emergency radio network, which is in turn joining a national First Responder network. The replacement project is scheduled to begin later this year.
