OTTAWA – Two separate crashes Monday night involved non-road vehicles. Two people were hospitalized when their motorcycle ran into the back of a tractor in Lane. Trisha Cockburn, 35, Rantoul; was driving a motorcycle west on Fourth Street just west of Virginia Terrace when she ran into the back of an antique Farmall Model M tractor driven by Brennan Thornberg, 26, Lane; the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Cockburn and her passenger, Reuben Stevenson, Jr., 55, Osawatomie, were taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa. Thornberg wasn’t injured. Avina Lye, 49, was driving west in the 2200 block of Labette Road southwest of Ottawa Monday night when her Jeep hit a lawnmower operated by Steven Dryden, 64, Ottawa; the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department said. The sheriff’s office said she reported arm pain but refused an ambulance. Dryden wasn’t injured.
