OTTAWA — The Ol’ Marais River Run, the annual car show that draws thousands of people to Ottawa is this weekend. The show is a year-long effort by the Over the Road Gang, which literally starts planning the day after for the following year, said club president Jack Barnhart. Cars will start filling Forest Park Friday night and based on pre-registrations, the event could draw up to 3,000 from all over the nation, he said. The show drew national attention last year when it was featured on “My Classic Car” hosted by Dennis Gage on the Velocity Channel, Barnhart said. Among food and merchandise vendors will be on hand along with musical guest “Bop Daddies.” Saturday evening is Cruise Night, with the classic cars cruising up and down Main Street all evening long.
