POMONA — A natural gas explosion blew part of the roof off a house in Pomona this morning. A man and his small dog living in the house escaped injury when the explosion occurred shortly before noon at 335 W. Franklin across from the Dollar General store, according to assistant Pomona fire chief Alan Radcliffe. “They don’t seem to be injured,” he said. “The EMS were looking at him.” The cause and the origin of the explosion wasn’t immediately known.
