PAOLA – A fire caused at least $50,000 in damage Friday morning at an adult residential building at the Lake Mary Center, Paola. The Paola Fire Department said it the fire may have started in a dishwasher. There was enough damage to the building that it will not be able to be occupied, said Paola Fire Chief Andy Martin. Martin said he believes the people who were in the housing unit will be accommodated elsewhere.
