OTTAWA — The Ottawa High School Wall of Honor banquet and induction ceremony will be Thursday. Tickets for the event are on sale now for $20 now through Thursday at the high school office. This year’s nominees are city chief finance officer Scott Bird, naval officer and community volunteer Vernon Hay, and Bernice “Bud” Humphrey, who died while he was a prisoner of war during World War II. Nominees for the wall of honor must have graduated at least 10 years prior to nomination and have demonstrated excellence in their careers or in the community.
